Tra La La - All Dressed Up/Incy Wincy

Evening peepsicles!

Sorry I'm a bit late with the post for Incy Wincy, but I've been having trouble with the ol' laptop.

I thought I'd sorted it last night, but noooo, this morning it decided to play naughty. After wasting a day yesterday trying to sort it out, I then spent most of today trying to sort it out. Fingers crossed it's ok now.

Anyhoo! On to this week's fantastic challenge over at Incy Wincy. The theme is friendship and our sponsor is All Dressed Up and they are giving the lucky winner 2 digis!

All Dressed Up has some absolutely gorgeous images, I chose Tra La La, it's so adorable.

What you need...

Digi stamp: Tra La La - All Dressed Up
Patterned paper: Santa Express - Doodlebug Designs
Digital card stock: white - Craftwork Cards
Promarkers: Lime Green, Pink Mittens, Sleigh Bell, Tawny Owl, Wild Cranberry
Baker's twine: cranberry
Felt holly
Button: cranberry
Gems: clear
Adhesives

What you do...

Print out and colour in the image and trim.

Mat onto lime/green plaid paper 9.5cm x 13cm and fix to a top fold A6 blank.

Wrap twine three times around the plaid paper underneath the image, tie in a knot at the right and trim the ends.

Thread and tie twine through a small button and glue along with the holly over the knot.

Add a few gems to finish.

Tra la la! Done!

Aren't the characters cute?

Head on over to Incy Wincy and see what my fab teamies have come up with. There is loads of inspiration to be found.

Well, I'm going to sign off for now. Problems with the laptop have put me well behind with commissions, but I'll catch up. Thank you so much for popping by! xx

Let It Snow

Evening my lovelies!

Today I would like to show you the last of the three cards I did using the TIm Holtz Halftone Christmas stamps by Stampers Anonymous. As with the other two, I kept to the same colour scheme.

So without further ado do...

 What you need...

Stamps: Tim Holtz Collection Halftone Christmas (CMS204) - Stampers Anonymous; Let It Snow - Penny Black
Ink pads:  Aquamarine - Avery Elle; Onyx Black - Versafine
Card stock: turquoise, white
Baker's twine: turquoise
Gems: turquoise
Adhesives

What you do...

In the top left corner of white card 9.5cm square, stamp the 'Let it Snow' sentiment in black ink.

Stamp three halftone snowflake circles randomly around the sentiment.

Over stamp with the snowflake detail in black ink.

Mount onto an 11cm square turquoise top fold blank.

Wrap twine around the top of the blank and tie in a bow at the right.

Add a few gems to finish.

Cards like this are great as you can rustle up a few in no time. Really good if you are behind on your Christmas card making like me (slap on the wrist Colette).

Every year I say I'm going to make Christmas cards from January, you know, just do a couple every so often. I never seem to get round to it. Maybe 2015 will be the year? Yeah, right!

Well, we'll see.....

Before I go, don't forget you still have 10 days to enter your lovely creations in this month's Cosmic Colours Challenge. Just click on the image below to take you to the rules and Inlinkz.

Holiday Sparkle - Design Seeds®
Thank you to all who have entered so far. It's going to be so difficult to chose again!

See you soon :o) xx

Ornament - Bugaboo/Incy Wincy

Afternoon chums!

I hope you all had a pleasant weekend.

We have another great challenge for you over at Incy Wincy this week, Purple & Yellow! Many of you will probably think that it's an unusual colour combo, but I like mixing up colours that you normally wouldn't use together.

This week's sponsor is the fantabulous Bugaboo Stamps!

The lucky prize winner will receive 7 (yes, 7) free digis! Wow!

I used the Ornament image. Here is my take on the challenge theme...

What you need...

Digi stamp: Ornament - Bugaboo Stamps
Card stock: white, yellow gold
Patterned papers: Frosty Friends 6x6 Paper Pad - Doodlebug
Die: Christmas Trims (659912) - Sizzix
Promarkers: Mustard, Purple, Sleigh Bell
Ink pad: Onyx Black - Versafine
Baker's twine: yellow
Stamp: Christmas sentiment
Jingle bells: purple, yellow
Adhesives

What you do...

Print two baubles, then copy & paste another, re-size so it is smaller than the other two, flip it over so that it facing the opposite way.

Colour one of the larger baubles in Sleigh Bell and the other two in Purple. Shade the hanger section in with Mustard. Cut out the baubles.

Cover the bottom of a white 12cm square top fold blank with a 4cm deep piece of yellow gold card.

Die cut the scallop border in purple dotty paper and stick to the top of the yellow gold panel.
Wrap yellow twine around the blank above the scallops, thread a yellow and a purple jingle bell onto the twine and tie in a bow at the left.

Arrange and stick the baubles to the top of the blank.

Stamp a sentiment in the lower right corner.

I decided to go with rich golden yellows rather than bright yellows. A very regal combination methinks :o)

For some terrific inspiration, why not pop on over to the Incy Wincy Challenge and see what gorgeous makes my lovely teamies have created?

Well, that's me for the moment. Thanks for popping by and enjoy the rest of your day. xx

Let's Be Merry

Happy Saturday peeps!

I hope you are all having a lovely weekend.

This card is one of three I did using the Tim Holtz Halftone Christmas Stamps. I kept the colour scheme similar for all three. The card looks quite big in the photo, but it's only a tincy wincy one - 7.5cm x 14.5cm.

What you need...

Stamps: Tim Holtz Collection Halftone Christmas (CMS204) - Stampers Anonymous; Christmas Sampler - Paper Smooches
Patterned paper: Oh Deer! 6"x6" Paper Pad - Fancy Pants Designs
Card stock: white
Ink pads: Spanish Moss - Versafine; Aquamarine - Avery Elle; Jumbo Java - VersaMagic
Ribbon: teal
Gems: teal
Adhesives

What you do...

Create a white 7.5cm x 14.5cm top fold blank.
With Spanish Moss, stamp the halftone part of the tree to the left, just over half way up the blank. Over stamp the tree detail with Jumbo Java ink.
For the moon, stamp the halftone part of the snowflake in Aquamarine to the right at the top of the tree.
Cut a piece of the tree paper 4.5cm x 7.5cm and attach to the blank under the tree.
Wrap and tie ribbon around the patterned section.
Stamp the sentiment with Jumbo Java and finish with a few gems.

I love the colour combination of teals, blues and browns for Christmas. They seem to work really well together.

With this being an odd sized card, I'll have to make an envelope for it. It's a good way to use up old papers from my stash.

I'll be back soon with the last card I did using this colour scheme and stamp set. Thank you for calling by! TTFN xx

Christmas Snowman

Good evening peeps!

I hope you are having a good week so far.

I'd like to show a card I made using a gorgeous Tim Holtz stamp set by Stampers Anonymous. It's called Halftone Christmas. This is one of three cards I made with this set.

Patterned paper: Bundled Up 6"x6" Paper Pad - Carta Bella
Card stock: white
Ink pads: Onyx Black - Versafine; Aquamarine - Avery Elle
Rub-on: Merry Christmas, black
Adhesives

What you do...

Create a white top fold A6 blank and cover the bottom with a circle of aqua diamond paper. Trim any excess.
Stamp random snowflakes in black and add a rub-on sentiment to the top of the blank.
Stamp the halftone part of the snowman in Aquamarine ink and over stamp the outline detail in black.
Cut out and mat onto the left of the blank.

There you go, a quick and simple Christmas card! I had such fun with this set - so retro!

Plus, we have two sponsors this week!

The fabulous Rick St. Dennis - win 2 digis or a 25% discount coupon from Rick's Zibbet store (it's the winner's choice)...

The Rick St Dennis digi I've used is Frosty. He's just so adorable.

Label/scallop border: DIY Christmas Card Layers - Simple Stories
Card stock: olive green, white
Promarkers: Cool Grey 4, Heatwave, Herb Garden, Ice Grey 2, Pumpkin, Warm Grey 5
Gems: clear
Adhesives

What you do...

Print out the image, colour and cut out.
Trim the striped card foundation to fit an A6 blank, with a narrow border.
Add the red striped scallop border along the bottom edge of the card foundation.
Die cut a large circle in olive green card, attach Frosty to the left side.
Stick the circle to the right of the blank, so it overlaps the edge and trim the excess.
Add the sentiment tag to the top and finish with a few gems.

I think the toned down reds and greens really suit the image. Isn't he cute?

Hello everybody!

Hope you are all well :o)

We have a fantastic challenge for you this week over at Incy Wincy. 'Inspired by a Song, Book or Movie'. How cool is that?

We have not one, but two fantastic sponsors this week...

Kenny K - The winner will receive 3 digis!

Iva Nova Chest - A goodie package will be mailed to the winner!

I chose the Santa image by Kenny K as I was inspired by the song 'Santa Claus is coming to town'. Here is my card...

Cover the bottom of a white top fold A6 blank with a 4cm deep piece of  the music paper from the 'Tis the Season pad.
Add a green scallop border from the Mint Twist pad in line with the top edge of the paper strip.
Wrap twine around the blank at the top of the scallop border, tie at the left.

Well done all! Don't forget to pop into the Challenge Badges page and grab your badges to put on your blogs.

Before I go, I thought I would share a couple of pics of my Halloween costume. I dressed up on Friday night (took me hours). Then yesterday we went to fireworks party. My hubby was there helping set it all up and rang me at 3pm to tell me it was a Halloween/firework party and to be ready for 5pm so I had to do it all again. Men!

(WARNING: really freaky!)

Funny, my lips look red, but they were actually black. These next ones are seriously creepy! Ooer!

Actually, this is just a normal look for me. Bwah ha ha har!

That's me for now, thanks for stopping by and I hope I haven't given you nightmares.
