Good heevnin' crafty chums!
Not long back after a fab Zumba workout and a good laugh to boot - thank you Zumba Jools!
This is the third and final part of the feather projects I did for the May issue of Crafts Beautiful using Waltzingmouse Stamps.
What you need...
Stamps: Fine Feathers - Waltzingmouse Stamps
Card stock: lime
Patterned papers: Kraft in Color 6x6 Paper Pad - Doodlebug
Promarkers
Ink pad: Onyx Black - Versafine
Fine liner: black
Gel pen: white
Gems: clear
Gel pen: white
Gems: clear
Adhesives
What you do...
1 With the six
coloured markers, create a rainbow block of colour approximately 10cm square
onto white card, blending the colours. Die cut a 7.5cm circle from it and cut
in half.
2 Stamp three large
solid feathers and four small solid feathers in black ink and cut out. Arrange
the feathers as shown; secure the tail feathers on the reverse. Cut a small
slit on the body, push the ends of the small feathers through the slit and
secure with glue. Draw a simple eye and stick a small triangle of black card to
the top right.
3 Cover a white
13.5cm square blank with a slightly smaller square of yellow striped paper.
Hand cut scallops along one edge of white card 9cm x 13.5cm; stick a piece of
turquoise wood grain paper to the back of the scallops and trim. Adhere to the
bottom of the blank.
4 Attach the bird to
the white section with foam tape. Doodle some legs, a border around the edge of
the blank and above the scallops with black fine liner and white gel pen. Stamp
the sentiment at the top left; add a few gems to the striped section.
There are oodles of gorgeous stamp sets available from the Waltzingmouse Stamp store, click here to take you to stamp heaven!
The new issue of Crafts Beautiful (June) is out now and is jam packed with lots of lovely projects. I have a master class on water colouring, I did a simple little sail boat illustration perfect for the upcoming Father's Day. The sail boat can be found in the template section of the magazine or you can go to the Crafts Beautiful website and download it for free.
I'll sign off for now. In my next post I have a cute Cricut® Explore project to show you. Thanks for popping in, ttfn! x
