Happy Halloween

Hello lovelies!

I hope you all had a spooky Halloween! I know this is a little after the event but I thought I would share a couple of pictures and another card with you.

I go to one of my Zumba classes on a Monday night and we thought it would be a good idea to dress up, I went as a red devil (you can't see the horns in the pictures unfortunately - I had a tail too).

It was a really fun night and everyone looked fab! I managed to do the whole class with the wig on and wearing my Doc Marten's, plus the make up never budged - impressed!

Now onto another cute card...

What you need...

Patterned paper: Daily Details (#1314) 12 x 12 Spooktacular Collection - Bella Blvd
Card stock: white
Baker's twine: orange
Googly eye

This collection is adorable, the papers are double sided and filled with cute characters in bright colours set against black. This sheet has large journal cards on one side and the dotty pattern on the other. The journal cards are perfect for making cards. The pumpkin does have one eye open and I thought it would look really good with a googly eye stuck over the top.

Well that's me for the moment, keep warm and cosy and I'll see you soon! xx

Boo!

Hello peeps!

I hope you are all good :o)

Over the next few days i will be showing you some cute little Halloween cards I created. These are so quick and simple to make, great for any last minute makes.

I love this one, it's soooo cute!

Items needed...

Card stock: black
Printed die-cuts: Halloween themed
Adhesives

The cute little mummy and border were from a 12" printed die-cut sheet called BOO! To You by My Mind's Eye. It was out a few years ago and I discovered in my stash. The 'Boo' is from another old collection by K and Company. You could also use any spooky stamps or phrases for this quick little make.

Thank you so much for calling by and I'll be back tomorrow with another cute card. TTFN! xx

Happy 18th!

Happy Saturday peeps!

I'm back with a cute card I made for Kate, the daughter of a friend. She has just gone 18 and I was keen to create a card using my wonderful Cricut® Explore Air.

Without further ado, here is the card...

Items needed...

Digital die images: Live Simply Cartridge - Flower Frame (#M45B2B)  - Cricut®
Vinyl: White - Cricut®
Card stock: chocolate, orange, pale pink, red
Card blank: 15cm white square
Gems: clear
Punch: corner rounder
Adhesives

It was great having a play with my machine again and I'm pleased with the way the card turned out. It was so bright and cheery!

I hope you like my little make, thank you for dropping by! TTFN! x

Party Pop-Ups!

Good afternoon lovelies,

Yay! I'm back! I've missed updating my blog, but things have been soooo busy lately. I still haven't had chance to make anything as of yet, but I wanted to touch base and say hello.

Crafts Beautiful have recently showcased one of my past makes on Facebook. It was a set of three pop-up cards using the journaling Birthday SN@P collection from Simple Stories.

You can find the instructions and everything you need on the Crafts Beautiful website, click here to take you to the page. It does state on the project that they were designed by Amanda Walker, but I can assure you it was me :) They've got the designers name wrong - oops!

The great thing about journaling collections is that they have lots of printed pieces in handy card sizes and with lots of printed die cuts it is quick and simple to make a fab card.

Hopefully, it won't be too long before I'm back with a make. Thank you for stopping by!

Oh crab!

Afternoon peeps!

It has been quite a while since my last post. I am so busy with commissions that I don't have much time to craft for myself these days.

I did consider closing the blog for a while, but then I thought that I would rather post occasionally than not at all. If I don't get round to making cards for myself, I can always share my magazine makes with you.

Here is a card I made for my Uncle Ted. I unfortunately missed his birthday (slap on the wrist) so I created this for him...

Items needed...

Stamps: Chubby Chum Pals - Paper Smooches
Promarkers: Ginger, Ice Grey 1, Sunset*
Card stock: white
Ink pads: Onyx Black - Versafine
Black fine liner

* Limited edition colour

I adore this stamp set and I love crabs (I live near Cromer which is famous for its crabs). After colouring him in red and ginger, I then used a blender pen with a fine nib added to lift off some of the colour. This helps to give the texture of a real crab. I added a simple border with a black fine liner.

I hope that you like my make and that you will continue to pop in occasionally to see if I've posted anything new. For my dedicated followers, I thank you so much!

TTFN! xxx

Sunday 24 July 2016

Hello

Happy Sunday lovely peeps!

I know I haven't been around blog land for a couple of weeks. I'm still busy with commissions, at this time of year we are even more busy as there is usually an extra issue to squeeze in. I've also been up to North Yorkshire for a few days to stay with my mum :o)

Here is another quick card made with a scrapbook collection. This one uses papers and items from the Spring Fling Collection by Pebbles.

Items needed...

Card stock: white
Die cuts: Spring Fling Cardstock & Vellum Shapes - Pebbles
Pearls: black

I adore this collection. It is just too cute. I love the mix of subtle colours and adorable images.

I hope you like this little make and I'll be back soon with another creation!

Thanks for popping by! x

Smile

Happy Friday peeps!

I'm still busy with commissions, but I thought I would have a break and post up another quick and easy card for you. This one is perfect to give to a male recipient as the colours and images are not too girly. Again, this card uses items from the Simple Stories Birthday SN@P collection.

Items needed...

Scrapbook/journal items: SN@P Insta-Squares & Pieces - Birthday; 4x6 SN@P Cards - Birthday; 3x4 SN@P Cards - Birthday; SN@P - Stickers - Birthday - Simple Stories
Punch: corner rounder
Adhesives

I love this bright, cheery card and who doesn't like cake? The torn tape stickers are so cute and just add that little extra without going over the top.

I think you can still find the SN@P Birthday collection on some craft sites, but Simple Stories do lots of other gorgeous collections.

Okay, that is me for the moment. Enjoy your Friday and I'll be back soon. TTFN! x

Sunday 3 July 2016

Thank You

Happy Sunday lovelies!

I'm back with another quick make using coordinating elements and papers from a paper craft collection. This is another one using items from the Spring Fling Collection by Pebbles.

Items needed...

Patterned paper: Spring Fling 6x6 Paper Pad - Pebbles
Die cut shapes: Spring Fling Card Stock and Vellum Shapes - Pebbles
Ribbon: pale pink
Decorative pin: pink heart
Adhesives

I adore the colour palette in this collection. The muted pink and greens along with the pop of yellow and red really work with the chalky black background. Some of the designs in the pad are set against a kraft background which also works really well.

I hope you like this quick and simple, but oh so cute card. Thank you for stopping by and I hope to see you soon. x

Live It Up

Afternoon chums!

I hope you are all well.

I've not posted in a few days as I have been so busy with magazine commissions. I have at last a few moments to spare, so here we go...

Items needed...

Scrapbook/journal items: Insta Squares & Pieces - Birthday - Simple Stories
Card stock; aqua
Gems

This is another make that demonstrates how you can use scrapbook/journaling products to create a quick and simple last minute card. Just add a bit of bling and you're ready to go.

I love sets that have different elements that coordinate as it makes it much easier to sort a card layout, colours and so on.

I hope you liked this little make and will pop back again soon. TTFN! x

Monday 20 June 2016

Hey Dad!

Hello lovelies!

Today I'd like to show you the Father's Day card I did for my father in law. I love Paper Smooches stamps and the cute images tend to work great for male cards.

Items needed...

Stamps: Boob Tubed; Shadows; Space Cadet - Paper Smooches
Promarkers: Ice Grey 1, Magenta, Ocean Teal*, Pastel Green, Yellow
Card stock: white
Ink pads: Onyx Black; Smokey Gray - Versafine

* Limited edition colour

I used one of the cute little aliens from the Space Cadet set in one of the tv screens.

Masking paper is a good investment if you like over stamping or mixing up images. If you can't find masking paper, Post-It notes work really well. Just remember to include some of the sticky on the back so that it adheres to the image you are masking.

Well that is all from me for now, going to have a bite to eat and then it's off to my first Zumba class of the week. Thanks for popping in! xx

Be Unique

Good afternoon peeps!

In the current issue of PaperCrafter (issue 96) you get a set of free heart dies! The kit includes three dies which will give you a four way combination.

I made 15 projects using the free dies for the issue, one of the projects is a framed artwork and here it is...

I did a mix of cards, tags and gift boxes all in bright zingy colours. You can find lots of projects, ideas, inspiration and free downloads over at PaperCrafter. You can also follow them on Facebook and Pinterest. Why not pop on over for a look?

Well that is me for now, back to the Christmas commissions (yikes). Thank you for stopping by and I'll be back soon with another card. x

Keep Calm and ...

Happy Sunday lovely followers!

I'm back with another card made from scrapbook/journal collections. This time I've used Simple Stories. The good thing about Simple Stories collections is that they do scrapbook, journaling and card making items that all coordinated with each other. This is really good if you need a last minute card.

This card uses items from the SN@P Birthday collection.

Items needed...

Scrapbook/journal items: 4x6 SN@P Cards - Birthday; 3x4 SN@P Cards - Birthday - Simple Stories
Baker's twine: red

I love this simple card, especially as I am a big cup cake lover!

Simple Stories have lots of scrummy collections. The 4x6 and 3x4 cards are so handy for card making, plus it saves cutting into those precious 12x12 papers!

I hope you like my little make, thank you for dropping in and I'll be back soon! TTFN! x

Cute Giraffes

Morning lovelies!

The card I would like to share with you today is so cute. It uses die cuts from the Spring Fling collection by Pebbles.

Items needed...

Card stock: Kraft, white
Die cuts: Spring Fling Cardstock & Vellum Shapes - Pebbles
Stamps; Shadows - Paper Smooches
Ink pad: Smokey Gray - Versafine
Gems: clear

The Spring Fling collection is made up of cute images and subtle colours such as pale pinks, greens and yellows mixed with a Kraft base. I didn't want a patterned background, so I added a simple Kraft panel to compliment the colours. The heart was hand cut from white card to really make the sentiment banner pop. I stamped a shadow for the giraffes to stand on so that they didn't look like they were floating in mid air!

Okay, that is me for the moment, thank you for stopping by and I'll be back soon with another quick and simple make :o)

When Life Gives You Lemons...

Hi there!

I'm back with another make!

I've been looking through my stash of papers and matching embellishments, dies and so on, and I thought it would be good to demonstrate how you can make lovely cards using scrapbook/journal kits.

Items needed...

Papers: Citrus Bliss 6x6 Paper Pad - Pink Paislee
Die cuts: Citrus Bliss Ephemera - Pink Paislee
Button: yellow
Twine: white

This collection is so summery and cute. This card would be good to send someone who isn't feeling very well. I haven't added a sentiment inside yet, but I thought of putting '...make lemonade!' The little glass is an adorable printed acetate die cut.

The good thing about scrapbook kits or paper collections is that you can get lots of matching die cuts, stickers, lettering etc. Which is perfect for coordinating.

I do hope you like my little card and I'll be back soon with another!

Ta ta for now! x

Birthday Butterfly

Mornin' peeps!

Today is my friend June's birthday - Happy Birthday June!

I have some gorgeous papers by Echo park and one in particular would look lovely on a birthday card. I saw a card on Pinterest and loved the layout which would work really well with the patterned paper.

Items needed...

Patterned paper: Splendid Sunshine 12 x 12 Collection Kit - Echo Park
Card stock: bright pink, white
Dies: Echo Park Springtime (659117) - Sizzix
Stamps: Sentiments Stamps (#10105761) - Bo Bunny
Ink pad: Onyx Black - Versafine
Pearls: pale green, white

I used the Floral Fancy paper from the kit and the butterfly from the die set. The two white side panels were raised up using foam tape.

I'm sure June will love her card :o)

So, that's me for this post. Thank you for stopping by and I'll be back soon! x

Flower Circles

Happy Sunday lovelies!

I hope you are all having a lovely weekend!

I'm back with another Kraft card! This one features a stamp by Carabelle Studio. A while ago I came across this and some other gorgeous stamps by this brand whilst browsing through the That's Crafty website. For this card I used Les P'tits Ronds Par Azoline...

Items needed...

Stamps: Les P'tits Ronds Par Azoline (SA60061) - Carabelle Studio; Sentiment Sampler - Paper Smooches
Ink pad: Onyx Black - Versafine
Gel pen: black, white
Gems: black

I stamped the image so that it just went off the card blank. After drawing the border around the blank I then highlighted some of the design with the white gel pen.

I hope you like this little Krafty make. I have found my mojo again and I've been making lots of cards using scrapbooking/journalling papers, cards and die-cuts!

Thank you for popping in, ttfn! x

Sup?

Hi Peeps!

I'm back with another little make done on Kraft card. I'm really into Kraft card at the moment :o)

This is a cute little card with an adorable monster from a Paper Smooches set. I've used this chap on quite a few of my cards in the past.

Items needed...

Stamps: Falling For You; Slang Gang; Shadows - Paper Smooches
Card stock: Kraft
Gel pens: black, white
Promarker: Marine
Ink pad: Onyx Black; Smokey Gray - Versafine

Isn't he adorable? I drew the border around the card and then coloured it in with black and white gel pens. I also highlighted his eyes, horns and tooth with the white pen.

I hope you like my little monster card, I'll be back soon with another make. Thanks for stopping by - ttfn!

Hello Sunshine Happy Cards

Good afternoon lovely peeps!

Seeing as the weather is still yuk here in Norfolk and other parts of the UK, I thought I would post up a collection of cheery cards I did from a past issue of Crafts Beautiful.

I used the Hello Sunshine Stamp and Hello Sunshine Die sets by Lawn Fawn for these cute little makes. You can find the full instructions on how to make these cards here on the Crafts Beautiful website.

Don't forget you can finds lots of other ideas, projects and inspiration at Crafts Beautiful. There are loads of free papers, templates and downloads too. You just have to register, but it is free and only takes a couple of minutes.

I made a few cards yesterday, so I'll be back with some posts very soon to show them off. Thank you for calling by! xx

Hello Wall Hanging

Morning peeps!

Well the weather here in Norfolk is abysmal - bleugh! Rain, wind, more rain and more wind mixed with more rain. The poor chickens are turning into ducks :o(

Okay, onto my project :o)

For the last issue of Homemaker magazine (issue 44) they asked me to try out the new Silhouette Mint. This is a little machine that means you can make your own custom stamps. You can either purchase images through Silhouette or create your own.

I decided to do a simple 'Hello' wall hanging. I created four stamps with the letters h, e, l and o and another with a ditsy floral corner.

I purchased some birch plywood squares (similar to what wooden coasters are made from) and painted them in a lovely white chalk paint. After stamping the lettering and floral corners I mounted the wood squares onto pink ribbon for hanging.

Here are the pictures from the magazine...

For a full instructions and a list of items and images used, click here to take you to the Homemaker project page.

I hope you like my little make, it was fun to do something different. There are lots more scrummy projects to be found on the Homemaker website.

For more information on the Mint and other Silhouette products go to graphtecgb.co

That is all from me for the moment, hopefully I will be back soon with some more makes.

Thank you for visiting. TTFN! x

Blah Blah Bird

Happy Saturday!

Hello to my new follower Taunya!

We are having a Bank Holiday here in the UK, and so far the weather is glorious. I've just spent half an hour in the garden with the chickens. Hyacinth and Daisy are settling in great with Babs and Hattie.

Now onto the crafty stuff..

I'd like to share with you the card I did for my brother-in-law James.

Items needed...

Stamps: Tim Holtz Crazy Thoughts (CMS238) - Stampers Anonymous; Bird Cages (10001188) - Artemio; Shadows - Paper Smooches; A Little Bird... (40-327) - Penny Black
Ink pads: Onyx Black, Smokey Gray - Versafine
Cardstock: kraft
Black fine liner
White gel pen

Inside the card I used the sentiment from the Penny Black set, it says ' A little bird told me how old you are! So I ate it!'

I love the combo of black, white and kraft, I think I might have to have a play with some more cards.

I do hope you like my little make, it was quite quick and easy to do. Thank you for stopping by and I'll be back soon. x

Watermelon Party Set Part 2

Hello lovelies!

I'm back with part 2 of my watermelon party set I did for the June issue of Crafts Beautiful.

*For Faith (Daffodil Cards) - the only difference between the Curio and the Cameo is that the Curio stipples, etches and embosses. I only used the embossing part on the 'party'. I think the watermelon images etc are available to purchase for the Cameo too :o)

They last two projects include some cute watermelon bunting and a little gift bag...

The new issue of Crafts Beautiful is out tomorrow (Fri 27th May), but you can still find these and the other projects in the set on the Crafts Beautiful website or click here to take you to the page. Don't forget you can also follow CB on Facebook and Pinterest for more ideas, tips and inspiration.

I hope you like my watermelon makes, they were such fun to create and would be perfect for a Summer party!

I'm off now, but I'll be back soon with a cool card I made for my brother-in-law. Until then, ta ta! x
